Atwal, Chopra miss the cut in AT
Duluth (Georgia), May 19 (UNI) Arjun Atwal will have his weekend off after the Indian pro returned a horrendous seven-over 79 to aggregate five-over 149 and miss the cut at the AT&T classic here.
Indian-born Swede Daniel Chopra played an improved one-over 73 but was unfortunate to fall by the wayside as the cut was applied at one-under 143 -- a stroke less than Chopra's even-par total at the half way stage.
Leading the field after the 2nd round were Ryuji Imada and Troy Matteson finishing 10-under 134 apiece.
US-based Japanese golfer Imada fired three birdies in the 10th, 13th and 18th in the back nine before picking up successive birdies in first three holes and one in the sixth punctuated by a bogey in the fourth.
American pro Matteson bettered his yesterday's performance carding a mesmerising eight-under 64 jumping to the top spot from yesterday's tied-22.
