Aslam Sher Khan happy with India's display at Azlan Shah

New Delhi, May 17 (UNI) Elated after India reached the final of the 17th Azlan Shah hockey tournament, selection committee chairman Aslam Sher Khan today congratulated the team for their superb performance and hoped they go on to win the tournament.

''This is a proud moment for us. I hope the boys continue their winning streak and go on to win the tournament,'' Khan told UNI.

Khan, who was a part of the national team when India won the inaugural hockey World Cup back in 1975, was appointed as chairman of the selection committee after KPS Gill was ousted as the chief of the Indian Hockey Federation (IHF).
