Asian Youth Judo tourney begins tomorrow

Hyderabad, Nov 4 (UNI) Judokas from 21 countries were taking part in the first Asian Youth Judo and Asian Junior Judo Championships to be held here from November five to seven at Gachibowli Indoor Stadium.

Talking to newspersons here today, Indian Judo Federation President Jagadish Tytler said, ''about 300 judokas from 21 countries will vie for the top honour''.

Mr Tytler said to promote Judo, for the first time, Asian Judo Union had introduced 'Under-20 Men and Women Youth Category' in addition to the 'Under-16 Junior Boys and Girls Category'.

State Sports Minister R Damodar Reddy would be the Chief Guest for the opening ceremony tomorrow, he added.
