Ashok Kumar becomes highest earner on PGTI Tour
New Delhi, May 28 (UNI) Current Order of Merit leader Ashok Kumar has earned the distinction of being the highest prize money earner on the domestic professional Golf circuit.
Ashok has so far earned Rs 40,12,875 in just nine tournaments winning four out of the seven he has participated.
He has a comfortable lead over second-placed Jyoti Randhawa who also has an excellent record to boast on the 2006-07 PGTI Tour.
Jyoti has played just three tournaments, but has won all three and, with Rs 31,59,000 earned this season, is approximately Rs eight and a half lakhs behind the leader -- a gap that can easily be narrowed with another victory.
''I am happy with my performance this season and am working hard to maintain this form,'' said Ashok, winner of the Indian Oil XtraPremium Masters in Digboi, the Solaris Global Green Open Golf, the SRF All-India Professional Golf Matchplay Championship and the Crompton Greaves Open this season.
