Ashley Cole quits partying to win back Cheryl's trust

London, Mar.17 : Keen to win back the trust of his wife Cheryl, Chelsea and England football star Ashley Cole has shocked his team mates by informing them that he will be missing their traditional Easter bank holiday bash next weekend.

It will be the first time Cole has not gone to the party, which will be attended by pals, including John Terry, Didier Drogba and Frank Lampard.

According to The Mirror, 27-year-old Cole is determined to show Cheryl he is a changed man.

The Girls Aloud babe, 24, was left heartbroken after Cole slept with hairdresser Aimee Walton, 22, last month. As the Mirror revealed, she has forgiven him and allowed him back into the marital home, in Oxshott, Surrey but Cole knows he is on a tight leash.

His decision to stay at home has upset pals who fear he is living like a recluse in his mansion where he refuses to answers calls and spends hours playing computer games with his feet up.

A source said: "He's almost a shadow of his former self, wrecked by guilt of his affair and desperate for forgiveness."

While some joke about his latest behaviour there are others who have been poking fun at him for getting caught.
