Arora, Bidwai enter into quarter finals of 2nd PCL-Manisha Open

Pune, May 2 (UNI) Shivam Arora of PYC Gymkhana, Sameer Bidwai of Gamers Anonymous, Sachin Sancheti of 147 Snooker Club, Tony D'Silva of Poona Goan Institute and Sandeep Gulati of Mumbai entered the quarter finals of Rs 2.10 lakhs 2nd Poona Club Limited (PCL)-Manisha Open&Invitational Snooker Championship 2007 here today.

In the pre-quarters, Arora knocked out Abhishek Deshmukh 65-11, 56-2, 50-9, while Bidwai (GA) struggled past Anthony D'Silva of PGI 42-57, 49-42, 79-40, 53-34 in a thriller. In another tie, Sancheti ousted Sagar Shelar of Deccan Gymkhana 73-42, 62-5, 60-43.

In other interesting matches, D'Sliva of PGI put out Aprajit Mittal of Mumbai 56-25, 50-33, 59-19, while Gulati scraped past Poona Club's Kapil Panjabi 66-47, 58-31, 23-54, 81-15.

Earlier, Arora put out Shivam Gupta 57-44, 77-49, 75-57, while D'Silva edged out Siddharth Baran 65-35, 43-21, 36-47, 30-60, 48-36 to make it to the last 16 stage.
