Army Red wins Inter Services Handball Championship

Hyderabad, Jan 19 (PTI) Army Red defeated Army Green bynine goals to clinch the 25th Inter Services HandballChampionship 2010-11, which concluded at the Sarvatra IndoorSports Complex of Artillery Centre here today.

In the final, Army Red scored 27 goals against ArmyGreen, who scored 18 goals, to win the championship, anofficial release said.

Indian Air Force Team clinched the third position whileIndian Navy Team were fourth in the overall tally, it said.

Brig. Prakash S Nair Commandant, Artillery CentreHyderabad gave the medals and prizes to the winner and runnerup at a colourful closing ceremony this evening.
