AP face Chandigarh in of in korfball

Chandigarh, Jun 14 (UNI) Pool B runners-up Andhra Pradesh will meet pool C leaders Chandigarh in the quarter-final match billed for tomorrow morning in the eighth Sub-Junior National Kortball Championship being organised by the Chandigarh Korfball Association at the Panjab University Campus here.

With seven teams already making it to the knockout quarter-final stage, the runner-up from pool C will be decided tomorrow morning.

West Bengal, Delhi and Madhya Pradesh are staking their claim for the eighth quarter-final spot. Pool C runners-up will face pool A leaders Haryana in the quarter-final match.

Other quarter-finals will be played between Pool B winners Himachal Pradesh and pool D runners-up Uttar Pradesh and pool B runners-up Jammu and Kashmir will fight it out with Pool D winners Uttranchal. Chandigarh completed their league engagements by beating winless Jharkhand by 14-1. It was Chandigarh's fourth successive triumph. Madhya Pradesh defeated Delhi by 6-4 but played 8-all draw with West Bengal.

Pool C: MP (Kunal 3, Rohit 2, Pinki 1) bt Delhi (Poornima 2, Gaurav 1, Yash 1) 6-4.

MP (Kunal 7, Rohit 1) draw with West Bengal (A Shon 4, A Das 3, A Gaganputar 1) 8-8.

Chandigarh (Mandeep 4, Ramandeep 4, Akhilesh 2, Pooja 2, Sweety 1, Santoshi 1) bt Jharkhand (Harsh 1) by 14-1.

Pool A: Maharashtra (Manisha 1, Zakir 1) bt TN (Harshal 1) by 2-1.

Pool B: Punjab (Manjit 4, Paramjit 4, Himat 3. Gursimran 2, Kuljit 1) bt DNH (Abhishika 1, Anil 1) 14-2.
