Annual Police Sports Meet on Aug 17

Vijayawada, Aug 2 (UNI) The three-day Annual Police Sports and Cultural Meet will be held here from August 17.

Talking to newspersons, City Armed Reserve Assistant Commissioner K Srinivasa today said meet was being conducted after a gap of four years.

Five teams, City Armed Reserve, West Zone, Central Zone, East Zone and Traffic Zone, each consisting of 25 members would participate in the athletic events.

The winners would be sent for the state-wide police sports meet to be held in Visakhapatnam in the first week of October this year, Mr Rao said.

He said the team events for the championship would include volleyball, 4 x 100 m relay, 4 x 400 m relay, kabbadi and cricket.
