Anand wins against Loek Van Wely
Wijk Aan Zee, Jan 23 (UNI) After two losses in three days, Viswanathan Anand bounced back hard defeating Dutch Grand Master Loek Van Wely in round nine and keep his hopes alive at the Corus Chess tournament here today.
Rejuvenated after a day's break, the Indian Super Grandmaster used the cashed in on advantage of white pieces and make his rival surrender after 41 moves.
With this win to earn a full point and take his tally to five points. Bulgarian Veselin Topalov drew his match with Levon Aronian to further strengthen position on the top.
