Amritraj's dream run ends in Comerica Challenger Series
Aptos, California, July 22 (UNI) Prakash Amritraj's dream run in the Comerica Challenger Series Tournament came to a screeching halt as he was handed a straight set semi-final defeat by Donald Young of US in the 75,000 dollar tournament here.
In a one-sided encounter, the wildcard entrant Indian tamely surrendered at the hands of unseeded Young 5-7, 1-6, thus shattering his dream of pocketing his first ATP singles title.
Amritraj had earlier shocked fifth seed Brunc Echagaray of Mexico in his quarter-final of the tournament.
The unseeded American will now fight against countrymate Bobby Reynolds for the title spot.
