Akram seeks prayers for bringing up children the way late wife would have wanted

Lahore, Oct 27(ANI): Former Pakistan captain Wasim Akram has asked his relatives, fans and family friends to pray for him to be able to bring up his children, the way his late wife would have wished.

While addressing the media after taking his wife, Huma's body to the graveyard, Akram said: "I would urge the people to pray for me to give me strength and courage to raise our children. I want prayers, so I could carry on with my wife's dreams to raise our children as she wanted them to be."

Huma was laid to rest on Monday at a graveyard in Lahore.

Former Pakistan captain and ex-teammate of Akram, Saeed Anwar, led the funeral prayers. Her last rites were performed at Jamia Mosque at 2:30 pm following which her body was taken to the graveyard for burial, The Nation reports.
