Ajmer to host 68th National Table Tennis Championship
New Delhi, Mar 2 (UNI) The holy city of Ajmer (Rajasthan) will host the 68th Senior National and Inter State Table Tennis Championships from March 7 to 13.
Table Tennis Federation of India (TTFI) Secretary General MC Chowhan said here that 31 states and two institutions (PSPB and Railways) are participating in the Team Championships and 12 other institutions have confirmed their participation in open events so far.
He said the team events will be held from March 7 to 10 and open events from March 10 to 13.
Chowhan said Indian Team for the World Championships to be held at Zagreb, Croatia, from May 21 to 28 will be selected from the Championship Following are the groupings for the Team Championships Stage-I : Men's team championship (Barna-Bellack Cup): Group A: PSPB, UP, Jammu and Kashmir, Orissa Group B: Railways, Chandigarh, Assam, Tripura Group C: Maharashtra(A), AP, Puducherry, Goa Group D: Gujarat, Kerala, Haryana, Meghalaya Group E: W.Bengal, Maharashtra(B), Chattisgarh, Manipur, Andaman and Nicobar Group F: TN, N.Bengal, MP, Jharkhand Group G: Rajasthan, Punjab, Mizoram, Uttaranchal Group H: Delhi, Karnataka, HP, Bihar Women's team Championship (Jayalakshmi Cup): Group A: PSPB, Punjab, Chattisgarh Group B: N.
