Advani enters quarterfinal of snooker tourney

Panaji, Feb 14 (PTI) Pankaj Advani (ONGC) today cruisedinto the quarter-finals of the VII PSPB inter-unit Snookertournament beating compatriot Rupesh Shah 3-1 in the main drawof the ranking event.

In another match, Shahbaaz Khan of BPCL blanked DherajHaria of IOC 3-0.

Shahbaaz had breaks of 52 in the first frame and 60 inthe third frame enroute to his victory.

Saurav Kothari (ONGC) snuffed out a stiff challenge fromAditya Mehta (IOC) with a hard-fought 3-2 win.

Saurav will now play his ONGC team-mate Advani in thelast eight stage.
