Aditya Jagtap wins boys under-15 squash title in German Open

Mumbai, May 11 (UNI) City-lad Aditya Jagtap lifted the boys under-15 title in the German Open Squash Tournament played from May 4 to 6, according to information received here.

Jagtap played a high level of squash throughout the tournament winning all his matches convinvingly. In the final, Jagtap outplayed Daniel Mekbib of the Czech Republic 9-0, 9-5, 1-9 9-6. In the semi-final, he accounted for England No 1 James Earls, in straight games at 9-5, 9-0, 9-6.

In the quarter-finals, Japtap dropped the first game to England's Alex Bowden before taking the next three to win 5-9, 9-0, 10-9, 9-4.

Among the other Indian participants, Anwesha Reddy finished 5th in the girls under-17 age group while Ramit Tandon was 5th in the boys under-15 category.
