A trip to Barclays' for EURO 2008 viewers

Kolkata, Jun 9 (UNI) ESPN STAR Sports will offer a trip to Barclays' Premier League for its UEFA EURO 2008 viewers of the city.

ESPN STAR is the exclusive broadcaster of the soccer league. They have tied up with 24 Ghanta, a Bengali news channel, to promote EURO 2008.

ESPN Software India, Affiliate Sales, Vice-President Rajesh Kaul said, ''Soccer is extremely poplular in West Bengal and we expect huge ratings from the region. Even in EURO 2004, Bengal had generated an average TVR of 4.85. Kolkata had generated an average of 6.48 TVR which was the highest in the country. This time we are expecting an all time high viewership for UEFA EURO 2008.'' He said under this promotion scheme soccer fans from Kolkata can also win prizes ranging from merchandise to television sets.

ESPN&STAR Sports will showcase all the 31 matches of EURO 2008, from June 19 to 29.
