9 Infantry Division lifts Western Command Adventure Cup-2007-08

Dehradun, Oct 3 (UNI) 9 Infantry Division lifted Army Western Command Adventure Cup-2007-08 held at Rishikesh today.

In all 13 teams from Western Command vied in the three days run event that consisted of 9 km cycling, 11 km marathon and 16 km white water rafting in a single streach. The route for the event was from Phool chatti to Veer Bhadra Barage in River Ganga at Rishikesh.

Competition proved closed contested with winning team reaching the finishing line 5 minutes earlier than second placed team of 14 Rapid(S) that completed the race in 2 hrs. The third placed team of 26 Infantary Division completed the race just 4 minutes behind second team.

Brigadier Ajay Sem, General Commanding Officer, 14 Rapid (S) gave away the trophies and cash awards to the winning three teams.
