Junior National Gymnastics Championship gets underway

Jalpaiguri, Nov 25: West Bengal Food Minister Paresh Adhikari inaugurated the 48th All India Junior National Gymnastics Championship at the Jalpaiguri Town Club here.

About 300 contestants, along with 350 official representatives, from 27 states, would participate in the championship which started yesterday and would continue till November 28.

The competition would be held in ten different categories with a total project cost of Rs 23 lakh, being funded by the National Gymnastic Federation, the Centre and state government and MP and MLA funds.
