2nd state baseball meet begins in Nashik

Nashik, Oct 19 (UNI) The second state baseball championship for the senior group men and women began here today.

The championship has been jointly organised by the Nashik Metropolitan Shiv Sena and the Baseball Association of Nashik.

As many as 700 players from across the state are participating in the three-day meet. There are 22 men's teams and 17 women's teams.

From this meet, the state teams for men and women will be selected to participate in the national championship to be held at Vashi in Navi Mumbai from November 1 to 5.

National baseball player from Nashik, Poonam More, administered the oath to the participants.
