200 players to participate in Women's Netball Tournament

Coimbatore, Sep 7 (UNI) More than 200 players will participate in the South Zone Women's Netball Championship tournament to be held here from tomorrow.

Tournament Assistant Secretary A Dhanakumar told UNI that the two-day event will be organised by the District Netball Association.

The teams in fray include Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Kerala.

The tournament will be held on league cum knock out basis. Last year, Tamil Nadu had won the championship.

The players to represent India in the 2010 Commonwealth Games will be selected based on their performance in this tournament.
