200 players for national U-11 chess tourney

Kozhikode, Oct 22 (UNI) About 200 players from various parts of the country are expected to participate in the 21st National Under-11 boys and girls Chess championship beginning here on October 24.

The 11-round eight-day event organised by the Chess Association, Kerala, offered a total prize money of Rs 70,000, according to a release.

The players adjudged as the best would represent India in the World and Asian Chess tournaments, it added.
