Gopi Chand goes down to Indonesian

Sydney: Yet another Indian hopeful came down crashing with the exit of national champion Pullela Gopi Chand from the Olympic badminton competition.

Gopichand could not match wits with World Number 2 Indrawan of Indonesia in straight games. Gopi Chand went down 9-15, 4-15 in quick time to dash another Indian hope.

Gopi Chand, in fact, struggled with a lapse of concentration in his three-game victory over Ukranian Vladislav Druzcheko in the second round on Monday. Gopi Chand had drawn a bye in the first round.
