British hockey coach gets one-match ban
Sydney: Britain's women's hockey team coach John Royce was handed a one-match for swearing at a female doping control escort, the International Hockey Federation (FIH) said on Tuesday.
An FIH spokesman said the decision was taken after Royce had used ''crude and inappropriate language'' following his side's 1-0 defeat by Argentina in a Pool 'C' match on Monday.
Technical delegate Annabel Dillon suspended the coach from any form of participation in his team's next match in the Olympic tournament against South Korea on Wednesday, FIH spokesman Nick Irvine said.
