16-day Mysore Winter Races begins on November 12

Mysore, Nov 10 (UNI) About 375 horses are expected to participate in the 16-day Mysore Winter Races 2008-2009 beginning here from November 12.

A press release issued by the administrator K G Anantharaj here today said a total stake money of Rs 2.23 crore will be offered for the season.

Trainers licenced by Bangalore Turf Club Limited will run their horses during the season. All jockyes licenced by the BTC will don their silks. Incentive to owners will be the same as that for Mysore Summer Races 2008.
