13 day long ski championship at Gulmarg concluded
Gulmarg, Feb 8 (UNI) Bemina college won the maximum six top positions in the 13-day long annual Inter-college skiing championship here.
The championship, organised by the directorate of physical education and sports, Kashmir University, concluded last evening with a night-skiing show.
Earlier, 14 days basic, intermediate and advance courses were organized by the university under the supervision of university coach, Mohammad Yousuf.
Druing the championship trainee skiers had the opportunity to zip and zoom down from G-4 slope at Kongdori to Gulmarg. It was perhaps first time that the basic course trainees skied from such altitude and gradient.
The facility for towing skiers from Kongdori to G-4, provided by the State Cable Car Corporation was highly appreciated by the skiers.
