PKL 2023: Patna Pirates Back Home After 4 Years For Season 10

The Patna Pirates, three-time champions of the Pro Kabaddi League, are set to showcase their prowess in the upcoming Season 10 home fixture matches at the Patliputra Sports Complex in Patna from January 26th to January 31st, 2024.

The team is eager to deliver their best performances in front of their home fans, embodying the spirit of their new cheer slogan, "Garda Uda Denge Phirse."

Known for their highly competitive kabaddi style, the Pirates have a well-balanced team comprising both young talents and experienced players. The home leg matches promise to be thrilling, featuring encounters against formidable opponents.

The team will kick off their home campaign against Bengal Warriors on January 26, followed by matches against Puneri Paltan on January 27, Gujarat Giants on January 29, and Bengaluru Bulls on January 31.

In a notable change, Sachin Tanwar will lead the Patna Pirates during the home leg matches, taking over the captaincy from Neeraj, who is rested due to injury. Manjeet will serve as the vice-captain. The squad boasts a formidable lineup in raiding, including players like Sudhakar, Sandeep Kumar, Ranjit Naik, and Zheng-Wei-Chen.

The all-rounders consist of Ankit, Babu M, Daniel Odhiambo, and Rohit, while the defensive unit comprises Manish, Naveen Sharma, Thiyagrajan Yuvaraj, Abhinand, and Deepak Kumar.

A noteworthy mention is Sandeep Kumar, the first player from Bihar representing Patna Pirates in the Pro Kabaddi League. The team is under the guidance of coach Narender Kumar Redhu and Deputy Coach Anil Chaprana.

Pawan S Rana, the CEO of Patna Pirates, expressed his enthusiasm about the evolving nature of the kabaddi league in India, emphasizing the increased competitiveness and the positive impact on fans.

He highlighted the Pirates' commitment to nurturing kabaddi talents at the grassroots level, contributing to the unpredictability and excitement of each season.

Head Coach Narender Kumar Redhu encouraged fans to turn out in large numbers to support the team during their home leg matches, marking a significant return after nearly four years. He anticipates that Season 10 matches in Patna will be memorable moments for spectators, further enhancing the appeal of kabaddi in the region.
