WAC to take on MC in the Air Force hockey finals
Chandigarh, June 21 (UNI) Western Air Command (WAC) team will take on the defending champions, Maintenance Command (MC) in the Air Force hockey finals scheduled to be played here tomorrow.
Central Air Command (CAC) and South Western Air Command (SWAC) team will vie for the third and the fourth spot in a separate match which will also be held tomorrow.
In the semi-final match played today, MC defeated CAC by 5-2.
While Dinesh scored 3 goals, Kaushik and Rajvir scored one goal each for MC. For CAC, Rakesh and Anil scored one goal each.
In the second semi-final match, WAC defeated SWAC by 3-1. Rakesh scored two goals for WAC while S Singh scored the third goal. A K Yadav scored the solitary goal for SWAC.
In the third match of the day, Eastern Air Command (EAC) team beat Air Head Quarters (AHQ) team by 2-1. For EAC, P K Dinesh and M Singh scored one goal each whereas Ramarajan scored the single goal for AHQ.
The fourth match was played between Training Command(TC) and Southern Air Command (SAC) in which TC scored a clean 3-0 victory with Saini scoring all the three goals for the team.
The closing ceremony will also be held tomorrow evening.
