Punjab, Karnataka, Jharkhand enter QF of Natl Wom hockey

Sonepat, Jan 25 (PTI) Punjab, Karnataka and Jharkhandcrusied into the quarterfinals of the first Hockey IndiaSenior Women National Championship with easy wins over theirrespective pool rivals at the Motilal Nehru Sports School heretoday.

Striker Ramandeep scored as many as nine goals, includinga double hat trick, to help Punjab trounce Tripura 20-0 in aPool D match.

Apart from Ramandeep, Vartika Singh, Kirandeep Kaur andBaljinder scored three goals each for Punjab while Harmanjitand Manbir completed the tally with goal apiece against ahapless Tripura side.
