Punjab Hockey League semi finals tomorrow

Ludhiana, Jan 27 (UNI) Pool A leaders Surjit Hockey Academy, Jalandhar will meet Pool C champions Punjab Agriculture University, (PAU) Ludhiana and Pool B winners Ranjit Hockey Academy, Amritsar will face Sangrur in the semi-finals of the Western Union Punjab Hockey League for Under-16 being conducted by the at the PAU astroturf stadium here tomorrow.

Surjit Hockey Academy, Ranjit Hockey Academy Amritsar and PAU along with best losers Sangrur advanced to the semi-finals. Sangrur (pool A) moved into the next round with two wins and one defeat.

Ranjit Singh Academy today blanked Moga Hockey Academy 3-0 after leading 2-0 at half time. Right winger Satinder displayed good ball control and netted two goals to give his team the third successive victory. The ebullient Ranjit Academy winger first struck in the fifth minute and later in the 44th minute. In between Ramandeep had made it 2-0 in the 25th minute.

With semi-finalists already decided, the remaining matches played today were inconsequential.

Kila Raipur Academy and Baba Bakala Academy played a 3-all draw.

Kusropur Hockey Academy got the better of Gurdaspur Hockey Academy by 2-1.
