Jr national hockey from tomorrow:39 teams in fray

Hyderabad, Feb 7(UNI) The Under-18 junior national hockey championship will held at the astro turf stadium at Gachibowli here from tomorrow.

Defending champion SAIL has been placed in Group A and last year runner-up Combined SAI team in Group G. Hosts Hyderabad and Andhra teams have been placed in Group H.

Indian Oil Corporation(IOC), Punjab and Sindh Bank and Patiala have withdrawn from the tournament.

The following are the teams in fray: Group A: SAIL, Haryana, Pondicherry, Chandigarh, Air India.

Group B: Namdhari, J&K, Mizoram, MPHA, Bihar.

Group C: Orissa, Assam, Kerala, Mumbai, Bengal.

Group D: Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, Manipur, Himachal Pradesh, Bhopal.

Group E: Services, Punjab, Vidarbha, Gujarat, Delhi.

Group F: Chhattisgarh, Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan, Maharashtra.

Group G: SAI, Madhya Bharat, Chandigarh Academy, Tripura, Karnataka.

Group H: Andhra, Nagaland, Uttaranchal, Hyderabad, Himachal Pradesh.
