IWHF plans to revive hockey through zonal tourney

New Delhi, Oct 8; With an aim to revive the game in the country, the Indian Womens' Hockey Federation (IWHF) is considering to organise a six-a-side zonal tournament to attract viewers and sponsors.

''To make Hockey more attractive, we are now considering a zonal level six-a-side tournament.

''The format is very exciting, fast and less time consuming.

In Bombay and Karnataka it is very popular tournament. Infact, in Bombay, it is even played under floodlights, IWHF secretary Amrit Bose told UNI
