IHF inducts Sodhi, Carvalho, Madhu Yadav in Managing Committee

Mumbai, Feb 10 (PTI) Conforming to the government''sguidelines for national sports federations, the Indian HockeyFederation (IHF) has inducted former captains Surender SinghSodhi, Joaquim Carvalho and Madhu Yadav in its ManagingCommittee with complete voting rights.

The decision to include the trio of Arjuna Awardees wastaken by the IHF''s Executive Committee at its meeting heldyesterday in New Delhi, IHF President R K Shetty said in amedia release.

Sodhi is a member of the 1980 Olympic gold medal winningteam, while Carvalho represented the country in the 1984Olympics and is also a World Cupper and ex-chief nationalcoach.

Madhu was a member of the Asian Games gold medalwinning women''s squad.
