Asom shock Punjab 5-3 in Men's hockey

Guwahati, Feb 10 (UNI) Hosts Asom handed hockey powerhouse Punjab a shocking defeat at the men's hockey competition in the 33rd National Games here today.

Not known to be a strong contender in Hockey, the Asom team played a superb game to rally from behind after Punjab, which fielded many India internationals, took the early lead.

Buoyed by the cheering local crowd, the host team clawed its way back into the match and went on to pump in five goals against the Punjab's three.
