James Rodriguez is in super form for the Colombians, scoring goals in all the three group matches. Jackson Martinez, who scored twice against Japan, is another lethal weapon for the South Americans. Rodriguez also had contributed in two goals, trailing behind Juan Cuadrado with three assists. Cuadrado has one goal to his name in this World Cup.
If Colombia win, it will be their biggest moment since 5-0 win over Argentina
Uruguay, on the other hand, are yet to produce their 2010 performance, but still can't be ignored. The absence of Suarez, who has been banned by Fifa for biting an opponent player in the match against Italy, will be a major blow for it was him who had brought the Uruguayans back into the World Cup by scoring a brace against England in a do-or-die match. It has been seen in the match against Costa Rica that what the absence of Suarez can do to the two-time champions. Can Cavani and Forlan, the hero of the 2010 edition, make it up for his absence?
Colombia trounced Uruguay 4-0 in the qualifying round of this World Cup while it was in the same Maracana where Uruguay had won its second title by defeating hosts Brazil in 1950.
Uruguay ranks 7 in the Fifa's list while Colombia ranks 8.
Road to Round of 16
Colombia topped Group C by defeating Greece 3-0, Ivory Coast 2-1 and Japan 4-1.
Uruguay finished second in Group D with two wins and one loss record. They lost to Costa Rica 1-3 in their opening match but beat England 2-1 and Italy 1-0 to make it to the knock-out stage.
The match will start at IST 1.30 am on Sunday.
