Women footballers train for match against South Korea

Patiala, Jan 27 (UNI) Twenty seven women footballers, many of them rookies, are undergoing intensive and rigorous training in the ongoing national coaching camp at the Netaji Subhas National Institute of Sports (NIS) for the forthcoming pre-Olympic tie against South Korean in Seoul on February 17.

The 25-day camp started on January 20 under the supervision of former international star Harjit Singh, who is assisted by coaches Shukla Dutta and Chitra Murlidharan from the Sports Authority of India.

The Indian and Korean teams will later play the return match billed for February 25 in Chennai.
