UCL: Real Madrid vs Monaco Predicted XI- Eyes On Kylian Mbappe, Vinicius Jr
Real Madrid are set for a defining Champions League night at the Santiago Bernabéu as they host Monaco, with Alvaro Arbeloa overseeing his first European fixture in charge.
The hosts are expected to line up with a strong attacking unit led by Kylian Mbappé, supported by Vinicius Junior and Jude Bellingham, despite recent criticism from sections of the home crowd.

With Rodrygo not included in the squad, Arbeloa may turn to youth once again. Franco Mastantuono is pushing for a start after impressing in recent outings, while Arda Güler remains an alternative, having featured in a deeper midfield role previously. Mbappé, who came through the weekend unscathed, will spearhead the attack.
Defensively, Real Madrid continue to deal with multiple absences. Antonio Rüdiger, Éder Militão and Trent Alexander-Arnold remain unavailable, while Álvaro Carreras is suspended. Fran García is expected to slot in at left-back, with the centre-back pairing likely unchanged following the weekend win over Levante.
Monaco, meanwhile, arrive in Madrid with squad limitations of their own. Wout Faes is ineligible for Champions League action at this stage, while injuries to Mohammed Salisu, Christian Mawissa, Takumi Minamino and Lukas Hradecky weaken their options. Thilo Kehrer is expected to return to the back line, with Paul Pogba also ruled out due to a calf issue. AFCON-winning midfielder Lamine Camara will not feature.
Predicted XI
Monaco XI: Köhn; Vanderson, Kehrer, Dier, Henrique; Teze, Zakaria, Golovin; Akliouche; Balogun, Biereth.
Real Madrid XI: Courtois; Valverde, Asencio, Huijsen, García; Tchouaméni, Camavinga; Mastantuono, Bellingham, Vinicius Junior; Mbappé.
Real Madrid's weekend win over Levante was functional rather than convincing, secured through a Mbappé spot-kick and a Raúl Asencio set-piece goal. The subdued display was accompanied by a restless atmosphere at the Bernabéu, something that could again be felt on Tuesday night.
That said, Madrid face a Monaco side struggling for form and missing several important players, including key midfielder Camara. While Arbeloa's team remain a work in progress, the circumstances suggest the hosts have enough quality to get past the Ligue 1 visitors despite the lingering tension.
