Suvarna appointed match commissioner by FIFA

Mumbai, May 11 (UNI) India's Madhav Suvarna has been appointed as the match commissioner by FIFA for the men's pre Olympic football tournament second round match between Saudi Arabia and Jordan to be played on May 16 at Dammam in Saudi Arabia.

This will be the third match Suvarna, a former FIFA referee, will be officiating as the FIFA match commissioner, a release issued here today stated.

Suvarna had earlier officiated as the match commissioner for the ties between Oman and Indonesia in Muscat on February 28 and Hong Kong and Syria in Hong Kong on March 14 this year in the same competition, the release further stated.
