Soccer 'WAG' Amy stabbed to death

London, Nov.10 : West Midland cops are questioning a man after the Playboy pin-up ex-girlfriend of Blackburn Rovers star Benni McCarthy was found murdered.

Model Wag Amyleigh Barnes, 19, was stabbed to death during a row at her new home. Medics called to the terrace in Bolton were unable to save her. According to The Sun, police arrested a 21-year-old 100 miles away in the West Midlands.

Fun-loving Amyleigh had dated a string of Premier League stars, including striker McCarthy, 31. West Brom forward Ishmael Miller, 21, was among more than 200 friends who had signed a Facebook tribute page yesterday. Last night one pal said: "She was the life and soul of the party and will be deeply missed.

She had only just moved into the new house where she was murdered from her mum Kathryn's home in nearby Egerton.

Her family said they were distraught and destroyed, while police sources described the murder as a "domestic incident".
