Sevilla boss fears Copa America call up for Brazilians

MADRID, May 23 (Reuters) Sevilla coach Juande Ramos is concerned that Ronaldinho and Kaka's decision to skip the Copa America will mean that players from his club will be selected by Brazil at a crucial stage of the Spanish season.

Although they are not all regular internationals, Sevilla's Daniel Alves, Renato, Adriano Correia and Luis Fabiano could all be drafted in by Brazil coach Dunga for the Copa America which begins in Venezuela on June 26.

The players would then be likely to miss the last league match of the season and the final of the King's Cup against Getafe on June 23.

''As soon as we know Dunga's squad we will have to try and find a solution, but until then we can't do anything,'' Ramos told a news conference today.

''It could affect our team for the Cup final and for the last league game and it would be a massive blow if such decisive players weren't available.

''You have to understand that Dunga is under pressure to win the competition and he will call up whoever he wants regardless of the effect it will have on clubs.

''But it is a real pity that players like Ronaldinho and Kaka decide not to go to the Copa America knowing that they have a guaranteed place in the World Cup squad and then they call up players who don't usually play just when their clubs need them most.'' Sevilla, who retained their UEFA Cup crown last week with a victory over fellow Spaniards Espanyol at Hampden, are two points behind leaders Real Madrid in third place in the Primera Liga with three games left to play.
