Rooney says Man U leading in toughest Premier League title race

London, Jan.26 (ANI): Striker Wayne Rooney believes Manchester United are leading the toughest title race in Premier League history.

Though the club is at the top of the table after his four goals on Saturday, Rooney says Arsenal can reclaim top spot with victory at Aston Villa tomorrow night ,while Chelsea will have two games in hand on both the Gunners and United.

The Mirror quoted Rooney, as saying: "We've all lost games and it's tight down to sixth or seventh. I really feel any team can beat any other, there are no easy games any more. The teams outside the top four - Spurs, Everton, Manchester CIty - are getting closer and more difficult to play. I'm looking forward to more twists and turns now."

Spurs and City are poised to bolster their squad before the end of the transfer window, while Arsene Wenger will be able to call on his production line of superkids to plug any gaps in his squad.

Rooney went on: "The transfer window will be interesting. Tottenham always seem to find some money to buy players and City have got a big pile of money to spend. But I think the top four at the end of the season will be the top four from last year. Unless City can sneak in there." (ANI)
