Ramsay Sacked By West Brom After Poor Run Ends Tenure

West Brom have dismissed Eric Ramsay after a winless run of nine matches that leaves the club close to the relegation places. The decision follows growing pressure, with the team now sitting only one point above the drop zone.

Ramsay took charge on January 11, replacing Ryan Mason, when West Brom held a seven-point cushion over the relegation line. Results then deteriorated, and a 1-1 home draw against Charlton Athletic on Tuesday cut that safety margin to a single point.

Ramsay Sacked by West Brom Over Poor Run

Club confirmation came through an official message stating West Brom had parted ways with mens first team head coach Eric Ramsay. Speaking after the Charlton match to BBC West Midlands, Ramsay addressed questions about job security and personal responsibility during the difficult spell.

The question around my job and the future is never one I can ever answer or attempt to answer. I can only do what I can do over the course of a day and put my head on the pillow at night feeling I've turned over every stone. I'm not saying I'm blamelessI can only feel I've controlled what I can control.

West Brom now face the rest of the season with their league position far weaker than when Ramsay arrived. The club were seven points clear of danger at the start of his tenure and sit just a point above relegation following the 1-1 draw with Charlton Athletic.
