Punjab defeated Uttar Pradesh 4-0 in 53rd National Football

Srinagar, Sep 10 (UNI) Punjab lifted the 53rd National school games football under-19 championship defeating Uttar Pradesh 4-0 after a goalless interval here today.

Playing like a well oiled machine, Punjab attacked the rival defence from the word go.

However, the Punjab forwards missed a number of chances to take lead.

After a goalless half time, Ajay Singh drew the first blood for Punjab in the 8th minute of the second half.

Four minutes later, Dalbir Singh consolidated the lead, scoring from top of the box.

He scored the third goal for the winners while Ajay Singh made it 4-0.

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad distributed the prizes.
