Bengaluru, Nov 20: Former Uruguay star and Mumbai City FC's marquee player, captain scored a crucial hat-trick to bag a thumping win against Kerala Blasters 5-0.

Diego Forlan's double strike early in the match consolidated Mumbai City FC's grip. The Uruguayan legend completed his hat-trick in the 63rd minute.

The other two goals were scored by Brazilian striker Cafu and defender Lucian Goian. The win takes Mumbai City FC to the top of the league table.

They have almost confirmed their position in the semi-final with last night's comprehensive win.
