Bengaluru, August 1: The reigning I-League champions Bengaluru FC started pre-season training for the upcoming 2016-17 season today (August 1) at the Bangalore Football Stadium.
The Blues, as they are popularly known as, kick-start their pre-season training regime under newly appointed manager Albert Roca.

Roca, who has assisted Dutch legend Frank Rijkaard at clubs like FC Barcelona, Galatasaray, etc, took charges at the helm of affairs at Bengaluru FC in June 2016 replacing English manager Ashley Westwood.
A week back, the Spanish manager had addressed the media for the first time where he suggested that he is looking forward to work with the Indian giants.
He had said: "We want to do what is best for Indian football. Would like to work towards making India a strong footballing nation.
"Bengaluru FC as a club is really professional. The facilities are good enough and I can't wait to start working.
Bengaluru FC scripted history last season as they reached the last eight stage of AFC Cup. The Indian champions take on Singapore's Tampines Rovers FC in the first leg of the quarte-final clash on 14th September.
