Orissa XI, Selvam Sports advance in women's soccer tourney

Puducherry, July 10(UNI) Orissa XI outplayed Kanchipuram XI, Tamil Nadu 8-1 in a knock-out match of the All India Invitation Women's Football tournament here today.

With short passes and brilliant ball control, Orissa girls shot into an early lead and kept their citadel intact till the final whistle.

In another encounter, Selvam Sports Academy, Namakkal, Tamil Nadu, trounced Durg Girls XI, Chattisgarh 5-0.
