Nayanar memorial football tourney from April 10

Kannur, Mar 27 (UNI) The second E K Nayanar memorial gold cup football championship will begin here from April 10, organising committee chairman M V Govindhan said today.

Talking to mediapersons here, he said eight teams, including from Brazil, Argentina and Nigeria would take part in the tournament, which will be inaugurated by Kerala Chief Minister V S Achuthandandan.

Savo Bernardo FC Savopolo-Brazil, Instituto Bunes Aires FC- Argentina, Bayelso United FC Yenogoa Boyelso-Nigeria, JCT (Punjab) Sporting clube de Goa, Kerala-11, Tollygunge Agragami and Manipur-11 were the main teams, Mr Govindhan added.
