Manipur and Goa move in semis of Women soccer

Rourkela, May 8 (UNI) Manipur and Goa will clash in the semi-final as they moved to last four after defeating Bihar 7-0 and Tripura 3-0 respectively in the 15th Women's Senior National Football Championship at Ispat Stadium here today.

Along with hosts Orissa and West Bengal, Manipur and Goa made into last four and the winners of the day will meet each other on May 10. In a completely lop sided match Manipur trounced Bihar 7-0 with two goals each from N G Baladevi, Thoi Devi and Geeta Rani Chanu.

In the second match Goa defeated Tripura 3-0. Goa were leading by 2-0 in the half-half.

Lauraestibetro, Snehal Moroj and Doiama Gomendes scored one goal each.

Hosts Orissa and West Bengal have already sailed into the semi-finals defeating Chhattisgarh and Tamil Nadu. They will meet tomorrow.
