Manchester United's Ferdinand and Vidic travel to Milan

LONDON, May 1 (Reuters) Manchester United defenders Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic are in the squad travelling to AC Milan for tomorrow's Champions League semi-final, second leg.

The club's first-choice central defensive pairing have been missing through injury but could return at the San Siro, said a report on United's official Web site (www.manutd.com).

A groin injury forced Ferdinand out of the Middlesbrough game 10 days ago, while Vidic has been unavailable for nearly a month after fracturing his collarbone in a fall during the 4-1 win over Blackburn Rovers at the end of March.

Wes Brown and Gabriel Heinze have stepped into the breach but manager Alex Ferguson will be hoping to have all his options open as United defend a 3-2 lead from the first leg.

French striker Louis Saha, who was also in the squad that flew out to Italy today has been struggling to shake off a hamstring strain but may be on the bench.

Captain Gary Neville is still missing with an ankle injury and has stayed behind to work on his fitness, while midfielder Park Ji-sung is out for the season after knee surgery.
