Kyle Walker Faces Uncertain Recovery After Elbow Surgery While At AC Milan
AC Milan's on-loan defender, Kyle Walker, has undergone surgery for a fractured right elbow, as confirmed by the club. The team has not provided a timeline for his recovery. With only seven matches left in the Serie A season, it seems unlikely that Walker will return to play this season. Since joining from Manchester City in January, Walker has played 12 matches for AC Milan, including eight in Serie A.
Walker has been impressive since his arrival at AC Milan. Among players with at least five league appearances, he leads in interceptions per 90 minutes (1.05) and possession wins per 90 minutes (5.96). Despite his performance, there is no update on whether AC Milan will exercise their option to buy him permanently after the loan period ends.

The Italian club is currently ninth in the Serie A standings, seven points behind the top six. Their league campaign has been underwhelming this season. However, they still have a chance to secure silverware with an upcoming Coppa Italia semi-final second leg against Inter Milan. The first leg ended in a 1-1 draw.
Walker expressed his excitement about joining AC Milan through a tweet: "Ciao @acmilan Im delighted and proud to sign for AC Milan! A club with such rich history, one Ive followed since I was a kid. Its an honour to join and I cant wait to pull on the Rossoneri shirt and get started. Im very much looking forward to this new chapter in my pic.twitter.com/F8d2UjngIG" - Kyle Walker (@kylewalker2) January 24, 2025.
AC Milan's focus now shifts to their upcoming fixtures as they aim to finish the season strongly despite their current league position. The outcome of their Coppa Italia campaign could provide some consolation for their fans.
