Euro 2024: Spain becomes most successful team in Euros, win UEFA Euros for 4th Time

Spain has created record as the most successful nation in the UEFA European Championship after winning their fourth title in the continental tournament.

Spain beat England 2-1 in the final on Sunday (July 14) in Berlin. Nico Williams scored the opening goal but Cole Palmer equalized for the Three Lions. Mikel Oyarzabal scored a goal in the 86th minute to win it for La Furia Roja.

With the victory, the Spanish team has won their fourth Euros title, now getting ahead of Germany in the prestigious list. This is also Spain's third Euros title in the last five editions. The European glory for Spain also comes after 12 years, since their Euro win in 2012.

England, on the other hand, fell short in the final again for the second time in a row. After the penalty heartbreak in 2021, the Three Lions fell in the final hurdle yet again.

Germany has won the Euros three times. Italy and France have won it twice while the other nations won the tournament once each.
